The Municipality of West Nipissing and OCWA will be conducting watermain swabbing in Verner on Wednesday May 1 and Thursday May 2. Affected areas include Cartier Street from the water plant to Principal Street, and Principal Street from Cartier to Hwy 64. Properties affected by the temporary service interruption have received notice from the Municipal Water Distribution and Collection team. The maintenance work is required to clean the system of sediments and debris.
The work may cause some minimal discolouration and a loss of water pressure for households in the area. We recommend running a cold-water line until the water runs clear (preferably from a tap without a screen/aerator). If the issue persists, please contact us to report it.
